The Education of the Intercessor
What is intercession?
     •Intercession:
1.The act of interceding, intercepting, or interrupting.
2.Prayer, petition, or entreaty in favor of another.

What is an intercessor?
•An intercessor is a selfless prayer general trained in intercession, who speaks to God on behalf of another.
-Intercessors must be educated in the nature, style, and dimensions of prayer, and trained how to engage the Heavens to move the hand of God, angelic beings, and men in the Earth (Daniel 10:1-15, Matthew 18:18).
-Intercessors must also understand the operations of the unseen world and demonic beings to engage in spiritual warfare against them.
-Intercessors must always dress themselves in the whole armor of God before entering warfare prayer (Ephesians 6:10-18).

Our chief intercessor is JESUS CHRIST (Romans 8: 26-27, 34, 1 Tim. 2:5, Revelation 4, Revelation 5:8).

Intercessors take on the personality and characteristics of Jesus in intercession.
•The Lion, the Ox/Calf, the Eagle, the Man
-These are the four faces, personalities, and characteristics of Jesus the intercessor.
-We must take on the nature of each one that is needed in intercessory prayer.

1.The Lion
-Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah. We are the Lion’s whelp, which mean children of the Lion (Revelation 5:5, Genesis 49:9).
-The Lion rules the wildlife Kingdom. They have an attitude of authority.
-They shift the atmosphere when they roar. They invoke terror and fear into their prey.
-When we take on this characteristic, we take authority over an environment, we demand that our enemies bow down, and we send terror into the kingdom of darkness.

2.The Ox/Calf
-Jesus is our burden bearer. He takes our heavy burdens and give us his light burdens. (Psalms 55:22, Isaiah 58:6, Matthew 11:28-30)
-The ox or calf are beasts of burden. They carry loads and they plow ground for seeds to be sown.
-When we take on this characteristic, we bear the burdens of others (Galatians 6:2) and break up the fallow ground for seeds of the word of God to be sown (Hosea 10:12).

3.The Eagle
-Jesus is our eagle (Deuteronomy 32:11-12). He carries us on his wings and covers us with his feathers (Psalms 91:4). As our chief intercessor, he covers us.
-The eagle can fly higher than any other bird into the Heavens. They also can see from 2 miles away.
-When we take on this characteristic, we take flight in the spirit realm into the Heavens. (on a flight we take the middle seat)
-We cover others in prayer and we fight the enemy from the Heavenly spiritual realm. We detect the enemy in the spirit and fight him as an Eagle does.

4.The Man
-Jesus is the Son of Man (Daniel 7:13, Matthew 18:11, Revelation 1:13)
-As a man, Jesus healed, delivered, forgave sins, and blessed many. He was relatable to all humanity through the infirmity of the flesh.
-When we take on this characteristic, we have apathy for others, we heal, deliver, and bless others.
-As men in the likeness of Jesus, we dominate the Earth, cast out devils, and establish the Kingdom of God.

Intercessors get in between things and change them.
•Intercessors turn things, prevent things, pray against things, destroy things, build things, create things, and get favors from God all through prayer.
•Warnings can be given as well.
•Intercession is intense prayer. We should walk, clap, travail, cry out, lay prostrate, and invoke the presence of God upon the altar and all over the space we are praying in.
Prayer Format: A. C. T. S. I.
ADORATION:
•Means to- Worship, praise, reverence. To demonstrate fondness.
-During this time we are not asking for anything, we just adore God (all should be saying something)
-With good vocabulary and scripture knowledge of who God is, this can last up to 30 minutes or longer.

Psalms 145:1-3 NIV
"(1) I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.
(2) Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.
(3) Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom."

CONFESSION:
•Means to- To throw as stones, or shoot as arrows.
-This is to cast our acknowledged and unknown sin upon God. This gets the guilt, sin, and iniquity off of us and onto God, which clears us to supplicate when we are ready.
-During this we should cry out with a repentant heart.

Daniel 9:4-5 KJV
"(4) And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;"
"(5) We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments."

Thanksgiving:
•Means to- To demonstrate appreciation, gratitude, or thankfulness.
-You can thank God for everything, this is where we move into praise.
-The intensity must increase-we shout, leap, jump, clap, and etc. to exhibit praise.

Psalms 100:4 KJV
"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name."

Psalms 103:1-5 KJV
"(1) Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
(2) Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
(3) Who forgiveth all thine iniquities: who healeth all thy diseases;
(4) Who redeemeth thy life from destrcution; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
(5) Who satisfies thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagles.

SUPPLICATION:
•Means to- To make request for one's needs.
-During this we can begin to petition God for what we need or desire.
-There must be an objective of what we are asking for when we pray together.
-Matthew 18:19-20 teaches us to agree and ask for the same thing when we are praying together. Praying and requesting in unison gets faster results.
-We must focus, be intentional, and always pray for wisdom to handle what we are asking for.

Psalms 119:170 KJV
"Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word."

Daniel 9:20-22 KJV
"(20) And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God:
(21) Yea, while i was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
(22) And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

INTERCESSION:
•Means to- To intercept. To interrupt. To get in between.
-During this time we focus on praying for others.
-We should prepare to do warfare and to travail as a woman giving birth to a child.
-The intensity should be its highest during intercession. We end in a high praise or in a still worship.

Gen. 18:17-33
Abraham intercedes for Sodom and Gomorrah
Intercessors get favors from God

After finishing prayer, we should take 2-5 minutes (maybe more depending on the atmosphere) to soak in the presence of God. This is where we sit in stillness and meditate, reflect on what we prayed, and listen for God to speak to us prophetically.
Time management:
Adoration- 15 mins
Confession- 5 mins
Thanksgiving- 15 mins
Supplication- 10 mins
Intercession- 15 mins
Total= 1 hour
(As you grow these times can be extended)
Praying for an hour should be your target goal. During this time you can also pray in your heavenly language in the Holy Ghost to intensify the presence.
Word and Deliverance for the body
Matthew 5:27-30 NIV
27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.
28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.”

When performing deliverance and when ministering to ourselves, these scriptures will help drive evil spirits out of the body and produce godly behavior in the body. Your body has to be retrained by the nature of God, and his word is how you train it.
